A big and tall sweater that isn’t, what exactly do I mean by this?
One thing I constantly tell other big and tall men is that it’s worth to spend a few minutes browsing stores that aren’t necessarily for the big and tall for two very specific reasons.
The first is the old theory, you never know. While the odds are against you, brands are cutting shirts longer and longer these days, and by simply holding clothing up against your body quickly you may discover something worth trying on. Case in point, this sweater by Frank and Oak that I discovered in one of their stores. Fitted, long and comfortable, it is by no means a big and tall piece. Yet it’s easily one of my favourites now.
The second reason is that you may discover ideas for new outfits, whether that be items that pair well together or colour combinations you hadn’t thought of and you’ll have a takeaway leaving the store itself to go to a big and tall specific or shop online.
Either way it’s worth it to step in store and take a chance. You never know.
From the Big and Tall Fall Fashion feature up now on 48 Long this sweater from Frank and Oak is NOT a big and tall sweater but it fits my giant frame perfectly. This is why it’s important to get off your computer and go browse around in actual physical stores from time to time. You’ll never know what you find and lots of tips are being cut longer these days. #frankandoak
One of my favourite images shot up north in Muskoka for the launch of my new website this week. My new site is a resource for big and tall men to open their minds to a world of style, fashion and clothes that actually fit us!
